We started class by reciting our poems. Then we went over the agenda and homework. We also discussed how Wednesday's schedule will be a bit different because of PSATs. Today we read an example of an Autobiographical Narrative (A. N.) to show what we will write about. The example used sensory details to help the reader experience a moment out on the waves.

After that Ms. Witham handed out the Autobiographical Narrative Essay Guidelines and we discussed our thoughts about the essay and how it connects to real life. The essay should be in MLA format and we added "A. N. Brainstorm" in our table of contents.

Ms. Witham reminded us that our last Literature group meeting is Thrusday. Ms. Witham also asked the class to rate our substitute from Friday and left us to read on our own. After a few minutes, we came to a pausing point in our books and took out our planners. Ms. Witham began to explain todays homework and introduced us to the Make-up Work party during lunch for students who really need to work on their composition book. After the kind of brief explanation, she shows us using a example what she wants to see in our notebooks, including a illustrated cover.
